There Was No Treasure. Only Toss.
Well, this "Toss or Treasure" went in a direction I never expected. We opened a box that was stored in a barn and were immediately hit with a terrible smell. What we found inside was not treasure, but a whole family of mice that were no longer with us. This one was a definite toss. What's the grossest thing you've ever found? Let me know in the comments! Opening a Shop? This Is Your Survival Guide! 20+ Lessons We Learned
We finally opened our dream store! The grand opening was an amazing day, but it was also what one of us called a "disaster zone". In this video, we're sharing the brutally honest lessons we learned the hard way - from unexpected disasters to happy accidents - so you don't have to make the same mistakes. Join us for a behind-the-scenes debrief of our grand opening in Red Wing, Minnesota. We're pulling back the curtain to show you what really happens after the first sale is in the books. We cover the things that went horribly wrong, like a sign taking a nosedive off the wall , one of us working the entire sale with an unknowingly fractured wrist , and the frantic, last-minute hunt for cash drawer keys we had lost in the move. We also share the things that went surprisingly right! Learn about the simple, low-cost drink that was a "huge hit" with customers , the checkout area addition that had jewelry selling like crazy , and why investing in a barcode scanner was a total game-changer. Thinking of opening your own retail store? This video is your survival guide. This Creepy Doll Started MOVING! | Toss or Treasure
This might be the most surprising box of treasures we've ever opened. For this episode of Toss or Treasure, we switched roles, and I had to sort through a box of my mom's vintage finds that have been sitting for years. Inside, we found some incredible treasures, from a 19th-century supply catalog and rare tin Tonka trucks to a full set of vintage dollhouse appliances. But not everything was a treasure... some of it was just plain terrifying. We found a collection of kitschy wind-up toys, including a monkey that stares into your soul and a crawling doll that gave me the creeps before it started MOVING ON ITS OWN. Join us as we unbox these wild vintage toys and decide what's treasure and what's... haunted. Let us know in the comments which item you would have kept! ---------- Chapters: 00:00 A Perfect Start 00:23 The Roles are Switched! 01:16 Treasure #1: Tin Adding Machine 01:47 Treasure #2: Sunny Susie Tin Dishwasher 02:47 What is a Shoe Form? 03:18 The Mysterious Ruffled Chip Cutter 04:19 The Tin Tonka Truck 05:47 Classic Hills Bros.
